Nisa Barger is the Director of Public Art for the Texas State University System. Previously, Barger served as Assistant Director of Collections for Landmarks, the public art program at the University of Texas at Austin, for nearly 14 years. During her tenure with Landmarks, Barger completed numerous public art projects with esteemed contemporary artists and oversaw the conservation of the collection. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Brown University and a Masters in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin.
