(BEAUMONT) – The Texas State University System Board of Regents today reelected Alan L. Tinsley of Madisonville as chairman of the board, and Stephen Lee of Bastrop as vice chairman. The unanimous votes occurred during the board's quarterly meeting at Lamar University in Beaumont.
Alan L. Tinsley, first appointed to the board in 2015, lives and works in Madisonville, where he owns his own law practice. He also owns and operates Landmark Title Company and Triple T Ranch, both in Madisonville. Tinsley holds Board Certifications in Tax Law and Probate and Estate Planning, specializing in business entities, real estate, oil and gas, contracts, and civil and commercial litigation. A distinguished alumnus of Sam Houston State University, Tinsley serves on various boards and committees and performs pro bono work to help those in his community. He previously served as vice chairman of the board.
Stephen Lee serves as president and CEO of the First National Bank of Bastrop, becoming the ninth CEO in the institution's 135-year history. A graduate of Lamar University, Lee is a member of the Texas Bankers Association and serves on the boards of the Baptist Hospital System Foundation, the Lamar State College Orange Foundation, and the 100 Club of Southeast Texas. Prior to his current role, Lee was the president and CEO of First Financial Bank-Southeast Texas.
