The Board of Regents of the Texas State University System today elected Charlie Amato of San Antonio chairman of the board of Texas’ third-largest university system. The board also elected Donna Williams of Arlington vice chairman. Both votes were unanimous.
Amato is chairman and co-founder of SWBC of San Antonio, which advises financial institutions on how to manage risk and increase profitability. Known and respected for his innovative, relationship-building approach, Amato’s company has 1,400 employees and now exceeds $1 billion per year in premiums and loans. Amato earned his Bachelor of Business Administration at Sam Houston State University.
Williams is vice president and program manager for Parsons Infrastructure and Technology, Inc., a subsidiary of the Parsons Corporation, a global engineering and construction leader in facilities, advanced technology, and management processes. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and has 25 years of program and project management, business development, and engineering design and construction experience.
