(AUSTIN) - Gov. Rick Perry has appointed 10 student regents to their respective university systems, and one student representative to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for terms effective June 1, 2011, to expire May 31, 2012.
Texas State University System
Ryan Bridges is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, and plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University.
Texas A&M University
Fernando Trevino Jr. is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in political science from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in public service and administration from the Texas A&M University George H.W. Bush School of Government and Public Service.
Midwestern State University
Linda Aguilera is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Midwestern State University.
Stephen F. Austin State University
Sarah Feye is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in food, nutrition and dietetics from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Texas Southern University
Steven Champion is currently pursuing a master's degree in public administration from Texas Southern University. He received a bachelor's degree in administration of justice from Texas Southern University.

Jill Fadal is currently pursuing a medical degree from the Texas Tech University Health Science Center and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She received a bachelor's degree in general studies from Texas Tech University.

Christian Dean is currently pursuing a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth. He received a bachelor's degree in molecular, cellular and development biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master's degree in biomedical sciences from UNTHSC.
