TSUS Initiative Aims to Inform Future Enhancements to Academic Programs and Services
(AUSTIN) – The Texas State University System has engaged Hanover Research, a leading market research firm, to assess current and future educational and workforce needs in the Middle Rio Grande Region. Over the next six months, the firm will conduct a market and needs assessment of the region, gathering data, information, and feedback from key stakeholders.
In the process, the firm will seek input from staff, faculty, and students of Sul Ross State University, Rio Grande College, and Southwest Texas Junior College, in addition to community members, local leaders, and employers in Del Rio, Eagle Pass, Uvalde, and surrounding communities.
The firm will explore opportunities for new academic and workforce programs and identify effective strategies to increase enrollment and educational attainment in the region. Hanover Research will also assess the needs of current and future undergraduate and graduate students and identify options for improving the quality of the student experience and enhancing job and career opportunities for graduates.
Sul Ross State University, with campuses in Alpine, Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde, is a member of the Texas State University System. TSUS’s seven member institutions serve more than 87,000 students on 13 campuses from far West Texas to the Gulf Coast.
