TSUS, Quanta Services Announce Jobs and Training Partnership (4/23/24)
Quanta Services President and CEO Duke Austin alongside TSUS Chancellor Brian McCall, and the presidents of five of the seven TSUS member institutions.
(HOUSTON) – The Texas State University System (TSUS) and Quanta Services have partnered to build a premiere model for university system and industry collaboration. The partnership will support Quanta Services’ goal of recruiting, training, and developing a strong and capable workforce while offering training opportunities and job placements to students across TSUS institutions.
Through this initiative, Quanta Services will have unique access to TSUS graduates and alumni, customized industry-leading online training and professional development, and world-class faculty and research expertise.
“It’s critical that we in higher education demonstrate the value of our credentials and help our graduates realize the benefit of their hard work and sacrifice,” said Chancellor Brian McCall, “We also have an obligation to produce graduates who have the skills and knowledge necessary to build a better state and an even stronger economy. This partnership achieves both of these goals.”

The partnership has already launched several key initiatives, including enhancing brand awareness to improve employment and internship opportunities, developing online project management training, and initiating research projects in areas such as carbon footprint reduction and renewable energy solutions.
